If you really want to know what sex trafficking means " Check this PICTURE
Sex trafficking is a modern-day form of slavery.
When we hear the words "sex trafficking," as Americans we immediately think of women and children overseas who are being forced into the sex trade or who are brought into the United States for the purpose of sexual exploitation. We don't usually think closer to home. For example, young women we have seen late at night in the street, maybe in short dresses and spikes when we come home from work or a social event. Those women are maybe being forced to be out in the street. Maybe we think this is what they want to do or they wouldn't be out there. Maybe it is easier to believe that it is an empowering choice they have than face the harsh reality of child sexual abuse, physical and mental abuse, and the pimps that prey on the young women and girls. To understand all aspects of sex trafficking in the United States , we have to open our mind and let go of what we have seen or heard on television. I truly, believe that the American is too tolerant of human traffic for the purpose of prostitution, especially undocumented immigrant’s victims. Those victims don’t have any choice because they are undocumented. They don’t want express their feeling to the authority against the trafficker, who most of the time are documented. The federal government’s failure to address the illegal alien dilemma creates and perpetuates an environment in which exploitation runs rampant. There is much information that we do not know about human trafficking due to the secretive nature and fear of the victims involved. The victims live in fear.
